Your Role:

As an Accounting Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations.  This position collaborates closely with various departments and reports to the Manager of Accounting Operations.  You will handle a wide range of transactional and reconciliation tasks with the opportunity to grow and take on more responsibilities as you demonstrate your capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable:  Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments.  Conduct thorough reviews of expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Accounts Receivable:  Take charge of invoicing, ensuring that all customer payments are applied correctly to open invoices.  Address any discrepancies and manage collections diligently to maintain a healthy cash flow.
  • Payroll Administration:  Oversee payroll processing, ensuring all transactions are accurate and in compliance with federal and state regulations.  Maintain payroll records and assist in audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Financial Reconciliation and Reporting:  Perform monthly bank reconciliations and synchronize QuickBooks with our bank and credit card accounts.  Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses that support decision-making.
  • Project Support: Participate in accounting operations projects, including the implementation of new processes and systems that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and able to adapt to new software.
  • A fast learner who is not afraid to seek out new knowledge and tackle challenges head-on.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll is highly preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic records and relevant internships or part-time experience are encouraged to apply.

Annual Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000
