FP&A Analyst

Happiest Baby is looking for an FP&A Analyst to help us optimize our financial infrastructure to support our rapidly growing businesses. This role will report directly to the FP&A Manager.  The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, solution-oriented, flexible, and innovative contributor and communicator. 

This high-visibility role will interact and consult with all levels of management from sole contributor to CEO.  Excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential for success in this role. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and maintain monthly financial reports
  • Drive detailed and efficient variance analysis for each reporting cycle
  • Assist in building and optimizing financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Build governance around data management, key business KPIs, reporting, and, business intelligence
  • Develop reporting and submission templates as required
  • Prepare reports and submissions for existing investors and lenders
  • Provide Operations with analysis and business case support for new projects and initiatives
  • Help to identify key trends as well as potential risks & opportunities
  • Support growth in new business channels with ad-hoc analysis, modeling and continuous optimization of forecasting methodologies
  • Identify and report metrics that provide strategic decision support for key initiatives 



  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
  • MBA or minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and planning systems experience
  • Strong research and financial modeling skills
  • Extensive experience partnering with senior leadership both in Finance and cross-functionally and ability to work in a collaborative and team-centric culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire and excitement to achieve the company's goals through 
  • High engagement and ownership of superior work product
  • Self-motivated, hungry for development, able to think independently and with creativity.
  • Adaptable, as duties may change from time to time as the business grows and evolves



  • Experience with PowerQuery, PowerPivot, SQL, and other data management and analytical tools
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Experience working in a start-up environment
