Your Role:

This role will report to the Associate Manager of Business Analysis and will play an integral part by supporting decision and projects with actionable data insights, reports and tools used to make key business decisions. The ideal candidate is passionate about Happiest Baby and E-commerce, has a strong analytical and consultative mindset, a deep understanding of financial and operational analysis, excellent modeling skills, excellent data visualization skills, the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment delivering against tight and dynamic deadlines, and a passion for scaling processes through automation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert of our data and optimize our current processes, create new processes as needed, and seek out and build scalable automation solutions utilizing SQL, Tableau, Excel, and other tools that increase productivity
  • Perform complex analysis of datasets and conduct regular data validation and governance
  • Collecting and understanding business requirements and writing documentation
  • Develop, structure, optimize, and maintain databases, dashboards, visualizations, and reports to assist with decision making in departments across the company
  • Work with accounting and finance staff to ensure accurate data preparation of monthly closing items and support for the audit
  • Act as a liaison between Finance and Accounting and Data Engineering to drive key operational metrics for enabling business success within the data and analytics domain

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • BA/BS with 1-3+ years experience in data analytics, financial analysis, or another discipline with similar analytical rigor
  • Strong SQL Proficiency with joins, subqueries/temp tables, stored procedures, experience working with large datasets (Python is a plus)
  • Demonstrate advanced MS Excel/spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, formula building, v-lookups, charts, power tools, etc.). Comfortable working with complex financial models
  • Strong ability to model data to meet reporting requirements
  • Data visualization/BI experience (Tableau a plus)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Solid presentation and technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work independently, and able to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility
